Are you thinking of installing a spiral staircase in your home? If so, you’re certainly make a fantastic choice! One of the easiest ways to do it is by purchasing a spiral staircase kit; however our experience has taught us that customers tend to be a little confused about what exactly a spiral staircase kit is. This is why we thought we’d put together a little post answering some of your most common questions about our kits.

What’s included in them?

The easier answer to this is: everything you need. As well as the spiral staircase treads and balustrade, the kits also come with full instructions and all of the components, fixings and fittings you need to complete the job. All you will need to find yourself is a few basic tools.

Are they suitable for all homes?

Our spiral staircase kits are highly versatile and therefore suitable for installing in the majority of homes. They are also easy to adapt so they can be made to suit any floor height.

Who can install them?

All of our spiral staircase kits are designed for self-assembly but it will help if you have some DIY experience and confidence in your abilities. Inside the kit you will find full instructions for self-assembly and some even include DVDs to make the installation process as easy as possible for you.

If DIY is not your strong suit, you can always hire a local trade’s person to come and fit it for you. It shouldn’t take them very long so the installation cost should be fairly low. If you need help finding an affordable installation service, we are more than happy to lend a hand!

Can they be customised?

This all depends on which spiral staircase kit you decide to go for. Some of our spiral staircase kits come in a range of different colours and wood finishes, allowing you to customise them to complement the interior of your home.

For example, with our Artemis spiral staircases, you will be given the option to choose from four different finishes (beech, oak, walnut and wenge) as well as four different metal work colours (silver mist, charcoal, black and parchment white). Different wood and colour combinations allow you to achieve a wide range of looks, so whether you want a more traditional-looking spiral staircase or a completely modern design, we’ll be able to cater to your requirements.
